THAWING OUT
As we finally get above freezing, pipes and faucets will start defrosting. Now is the time you will notice if you have breaks in your lines or outside faucets.
All meters have a customer valve in front of the meter box in a round 10” valve box. Please use this to turn off the water when making repairs. Do not use the corporation’s valve stop inside the meter box. If you cannot see the customer valve box, it may be covered with dirt. You should be able to scratch a little dirt away and find it.
If your neighbor is away, please check their place as well. If you have a weekend place and have left your water on, you may want to call someone to check it out.
Please, before you call in a water outage, make sure it’s not your issue first.
