Proposed Projects

  • New Utility Billing Software
    October 2025

Lee County WSC is currently transitioning from AVR (i3Vertical) to CUSI, a web-based utility billing system. This change, accompanied by our new AMI meter system, will enable customers to view their bills, daily usage, and process bill payments more easily than ever before. We encourage all our customers to update their contact information in order to prepare for this transition. In the future, Second notices, high-usage notices, cut-off notices, emergency notices, and other communication concerning LCWSC will be done via Phone, Text, or email, all in an effort to better serve our customers.

  • Meter Replacement Project
    2025-2026 Fiscal Year

In the 2025-2026 fiscal year, the Corporation will be replacing all of our water meters, as most of the meters in the system are approaching 20 years of age. Currently, we have an AMR system (Automated Meter Reading), which is a drive-by meter reading system. We are converting to an AMI system (Advanced Metering Infrastructure), which utilizes a cellular read system. The replacement costs will be between $2 million and $3 million installed. This system will provide customers with greater flexibility to view their reading and usage on a daily basis via their customer portal.

  • Phase 12 Project

Currently, Lee County WSC is in the preliminary engineering and funding stage of a $22 million project to replace and upgrade lines in multiple areas of our four-county system due to aging infrastructure and high maintenance costs. The increase in material over the last four years has driven costs dramatically in this industry across our country. We continue to prioritize this project to maximize the funding's impact, not only addressing current issues but also preparing for future ones.

  • Rate Increase
    October 1, 2025 - January 1, 2026

Restructuring of rates and rate increases are inevitable due to the rising costs of projects. Our customers may see these changes between October 1, 2025, and January 1, 2026. We are currently running models based on fiscal years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025, using current usage and projections to determine the increases and changes.
